We’re welcoming the warmer weather in style with TWO new artworks that will leave you with summer on the brain. From a Cuban pin-up style artwork to an Aussie ice cream icon, we know these paintings will test your inner Picasso – all while enjoying a night out with your closest pals!

We had so much fun creating these new artworks, and we know you’ll love painting these masterpieces at our P&P Studios this summer. Our sessions have been selling out fast, so make sure you don’t miss out!

HAVANA NIGHTS

This Carmen Miranda inspired fruit hat will have you samba dancing all night long.  It is one of our most detailed pieces yet so remember – pacing is key!

Inspired by the famous Streets ice cream, we know this pop-art style painting will be a summertime favourite! Be careful not to drool while creating this masterpiece.

Party with Pinot & Picasso at your Home

P&P Functions Header

One of our favourite things to do here at Pinot & Picasso is to help you celebrate a special occasion with your family and friends. As Australia’s #1 Paint and Sip experience – we’re all for making a celebration exciting and unforgettable.

We love having these sessions in our studios, but did you know that we can hold these functions in a variety of different venues – restaurants, function centres, your workplace, backyards and even your house?

The beauty of P&P private functions is that we give you the tools to build the event of your dreams – what artwork you paint, where you want the event, the time and day. You bring the Picassos and the pinot, we’ll provide good vibes and good times.

Here are the types of special events we like to celebrate with you:

Hen’s Nights and Bridal Showers

One of our most popular private functions is the Hen’s Nights and Bridal Showers. Say farewell to the single life in proper style with us. If you’d like to take the party away from our studio, we are happy to oblige. Whether you’re planning to retreat to the Hunter Valley or the Blue Mountains- we have many locations that allow us to cater to you.

Team Building

Lucky for you, we can make work an actual exciting place to be. We can help transform that sometimes stale corporate vibe into party time with Pinot & Picasso. You can have your team bonding sessions or work parties right in your workplace. While you can choose one of our spectacular artworks, you can also test your Picasso skills with painting your logo or even your boss!

Virtual Functions

While we’d love to see you in person, we understand during these difficult times that you’d like to keep your distance. However, that doesn’t mean celebrating should be off the table. Our team can bring the classic P&P experience right to you. All participants will be sent an art box to their home and access the private 2-hour virtual session via Zoom.

Birthdays

Ain’t no party like a Pinot & Picasso party! There’s no better way to honour your loved one’s birthday than painting the night away while having a few drinks under your belt. It’s almost too easy to turn a birthday party into a pop-up event with us. Have a favourite bar or restaurant? We can come along with you and ensure that it will be a memorable milestone.

Kids Parties

Replace the jumping castle and have us in your backyard instead! Let your kids make a mess from the comfort of your own home or backyard. We have many family-friendly artworks that will not only test the kids’ painting skills, but we have no doubt they will have a blast.

Christmas Events

Get festive this Christmas season with our Paint & Sip experience. Whether it’s a work Christmas party or getting the extended family together, we know it won’t be a ‘silent night’ with Pinot & Picasso in tow. With many Christmas-inspired artworks in our collection, embrace the festive spirit and enjoy the jolly season with P&P.

We’re dedicated to giving you and your friends a truly memorable experience, regardless of location. If you are interested in planning a function with us, click here to enquire.

5 Best Places for the Ultimate COVID-Safe Date Night

The Ultimate COVID-Safe Date Night

While we’ve all been twiddling our thumbs at home for the past five months, the need to go out and have a good ol’ time is at an all-time high. You might be sick of your lover at home, but nothing boosts a mood better than a date night!

We know there is some stress and uncertainty about leaving the house, but we have found some COVID-Safe activities that you and your partner will look forward to. So, call the babysitter or tell work you’re not free this Saturday night because you’ve got some new plans with your loved one.

Get messy with Pinot & Picasso

What could be better than drinking wine, having a laugh and trying to be a better painter than your beau? Pinot & Picasso is Australia’s #1 Paint and Sip Experience. With artworks spanning from cultural icons, overseas destinations, and nature’s delights – there is something for everyone. Whether you’re a self-proclaimed artist or an absolute novice, our step-by-step instructions make it easy to follow that you may even be surprised with your inner Picasso. You can also put your relationship to the ultimate test with our ‘Paint Your Partner’ sessions making a comeback next month.

Spend a day at an Art Gallery

After you’ve tried to be better than the real Picasso, pay your respects to some of the greatest artists in the world at art galleries in your capital city. Whether it’s Contemporary, Renaissance, Surrealism, Abstract or Pop Art, you’re bound to be breath-taken by the paintings you see. Stroll through the corridors and take those candid shots for Insta to let everyone know you’ve actually left the house!

Go to a Pottery Class

What could be sexier than recreating ‘that’ scene from ‘Ghost’? Get your hands dirty and play around with clay to create something unique. The taster classes will allow you to practise your hand-building and wheel-throwing skills. Whether you create a masterpiece or a wonky pot, you will be sure to enjoy yourself. Here are some pottery locations to check out: Clay Sydney (NSW), The Pottery Shed (NSW), The Ceramic Studio (QLD), Urban Clay (VIC)

Show off at a Cooking Class

Time to look away from takeaway menus and dust up on your culinary skills. The best thing about cooking classes is the variety of cuisines on offer. ClassBento has an extensive list of classes and workshops to try in all states. From sushi and dumplings to noodles and pasta, nail these cultural cooking techniques, and we’re sure your partner will be impressed. Even go down the sweet path with chocolate and dessert classes.

Go traditional with a Movie Night

So, you have watched everything Netflix has suggested for you? Good news! New blockbuster movies are now being released in cinemas from this week. The big chain cinemas, Hoyts and Event Cinemas, reopened in July and implemented social distancing rules which is reassuring for customers. If you have missed the feeling of sitting in cinemas with a jumbo-sized popcorn or a choc top, plan your next viewing now.

7 Types of Pinot & Picasso Customers

WHICH QUIRKY CHARACTER ARE YOU?

There is no denying that over the past two years, we have managed to find all kinds of weird and wonderful people that join us at Pinot & Picasso. These have become characters in the world of Pinot & Picasso, and there is a high chance that you (or one of your nearest and dearest) fit into one of the characteristics.

1. The one who just wants to drink

It’s no secret that our customers love a glass of wine or two… or twelve. They’ll often be the loudest in the room with their apron half falling off. You’ll never see their glass get low as top-ups are frequent. Despite being a little boozy, they always have a good time with their friends at Pinot & Picasso – even if they’re getting filmed by their friends.

2. The overly competitive one

We all know one… and if you can’t think of one, it’s probably you. You’ll see this wild-eyed character with a paintbrush in hand and a paintbrush tucked behind their ear while they are frantically painting. They will keep one eye on their artwork and the other on their ‘rivals’. They won’t settle for anything less than being the best.

3. The Instagrammer

Step aside; the Instagrammer is here. Dressed to the nines with a cute bag and heeled boots, you won’t catch them without their phone in hand. Guaranteed to be making boomerangs and videos for their Insta stories and if you’re watching from home, you’ll definitely be getting FOMO.

4. The boyfriend who got dragged along that low-key loves it

Happy wife, happy life? Although they have been forced to tag along with the missus, the smile on their face is bound to appear sooner or later. They won’t be standing with their arms folded looking depresso for too long inside our P&P Studios. With a beer in hand, they’ll soon forget about the footy match they are missing.

5. The one who forgot its BYO

You can almost feel the shame from here as they fill up their water glass. You will often find this customer staring at their empty glass while others get tipsy around them. And isn’t it that little bit harder to watch your friends getting intoxicated when you are stone-cold sober? Queue… Hello darkness my old friend…

6. The one who came for the snacks

Is there a bag of chips missing? It won’t take long to find the culprit who often has food stuck to their hand the entire night. They won’t be stressing about whether they’ve painted in the right spot, but they will be anxious about whether the snacks will last the session.

7. The closeted Picasso

This secret superstar will always play it shy and humble in the P&P environment. They won’t tell anyone, even their closest friends – … about their little secret. That’s right – their inner Picasso. Despite being envious of their talent and flawless artwork, you’ll no doubt be asking for tips on painting or for them to fix that accidental smudge mark on the corner of your canvas.

Franchising Myths Debunked!

Pinot & Picasso Camden Franchise opening

Pinot & Picasso is Australia’s #1 Paint and Sip experience. We provide entertainment, art and great times – combined into a wonderful, intimate and fun experience. We’ve got 25 locations around the country, and we’re looking for more Franchisees just like yourself to join our creative network.

There are plenty of myths surrounding franchising a business. We’re here to answer all your questions – no matter how strange they might be. The most common misconceptions are:

Myth #1 – There is no money in franchising.

This is completely untrue. The Pinot & Picasso business model allows our franchisees to make healthy weekly sales with some franchisors making back their full $100,000 investment in under 12 months. This business model is the real deal.

Myth #2 – Franchisors take Franchisees for a ride.

That is absolutely untrue for Pinot & Picasso. The greatest area in franchising is what might happen to a marketing fund. With Pinot & Picasso, there is no such thing. We have a set percentage royalty every week, in which franchise owners know exactly what they’re up for week by week.

Myth #3 – Franchising is set and forget.

At Pinot & Picasso, we’re hellbent on providing support from start to finish – from site procurement to marketing to the opening night – as well as working with Franchisees to devise marketing strategies to be implemented in your studio. From there on in, we’re here for the ride.

In simpler terms – the better you guys do, the better we do. It’s in our best interest to ensure all our studios are performing to the best of their capabilities.

Myth #4 – I can’t manage a business in an industry I’m not familiar with.

Funnily enough, our co-founders Aaron and James both don’t come from art backgrounds. This business was built to be able to cater to experienced business owners, novice business owners, and people coming from entirely different industries through the fool-proof model that we’ve created. We like to say in franchising is that you’re in business for yourself, but you’re not alone.

Myth #5 – You’re guaranteed success.

We’d love to tell you that you’re going to make a million dollars out of this business and that everything is going to be smooth sailing. The fact of the matter is that there are no guarantees in business. Everything is a risk.

What you do get with franchising is the support, the know-how, and the marketing experience to ensure that you give yourself the best shot at succeeding.

We’re dedicated to finding the best operators to join our Creative Network. If you think this opportunity is something that might interest you, click here and our team will be in contact with you shortly.
