It’s all about reading and understanding your crowd. Here’s a little guide to help you!

For the Nature fans

Lucky we have a plethora of nature-inspired artworks! From plants to bouquets, we have the perfect artworks that you could hang up in your home. You can also paint some stunning natural landscapes!

For the pop culture buffs

Put on our house colours Potterhead, and paint our Van Gogh-inspired (and Hogwarts inspired!) ‘Starry Magical Night’!

Do you feel that? It’s the force. ‘Master Yoda’ sure does excite Star Wars fans who also love their art! Whether you’re a Jedi or like the Dark Side, you’re sure to enjoy this intergalactic themed paint and sip session.

You don’t need to go to Hollywood to get a taste of this celebrity! Elvis has entered the building – paint the King of Rock and Roll!

For the Animal lovers

These artworks are a hoot! Show your love for a family pet or your favourite animal with a masterpiece created by you.

‘Paint your Pooch’ is perfect for those who live, breathe and would die for their furry friend. You also don’t have to paint a cute puppy, it can be your cat, bird, guinea pig, horse – any pet!

For the travellers

While some of us might have FOMO for not being able to “find ourselves” overseas in Europe or Asia, we’ve got artworks to cure those travel blues in meantime. All aboard!

For the ocean dwellers

For those who love the ocean breeze and the sand between their toes, these summer-inspired artworks are just for you. Time to wax your surfboards and get ready for summer!

NEW: Mother’s Day Concepts

Pinot & Picasso Mother's Day

Pinot & Picasso and Mother's Day: our favourite duo!

This Mother’s Day release is so special to us, because we are creating an experience that will allow for families, mothers, daughters, and sons to spend quality time together creating a tangible piece of art that will hold special memories for years to come. Time is the most valuable present you could give anyone, and our mother’s day sessions give mothers across Australia three hours with their favourite people!

See our NEW and exciting concepts for Mother’s Day below!

Love Grows: Paint your Pot

From little things, big things grow! Mothers are our gardeners; they spend their lives growing, caring, watering and loving their little seedlings, being there to support as they continue to grow.

This Mother’s Day, Pinot & Picasso has partnered with Australian Artist and Mother Prudence DeMarchi, to create a commissioned pot design. As you spend quality time with your Mum in our class, you’ll laugh, paint and sip your way through the three-hour session, taking home your very own pot with a unique design that will remind you of the special times you spent together.

Prue regularly spends quality time with her two children painting, finding that it is such a beautiful and therapeutic activity to enjoy together. She hopes you have just as much fun as she did creating these pots, at your class.

Mumsterpiece

You’re a special piece of the artwork, but together you’re a masterpiece. Join us this Mother’s Day for a collaborative artwork in that each canvas alone is beautiful, but together is whole. Sounds familiar, right?

Mum’s allow us to be whole, they hold your hand when you need it, answer the five calls a day to ask “should I get this for dinner?”, and they love you unconditionally. Show Mum, just how special she is to you this Mother’s Day with three hours of quality time, and an artwork to keep full of memories.

Artwork created by Australian Artist, Melody Suranyi.

Mumdala

A Mandala starts at the core, and expands out to develop into something truly beautiful, much like our relationship with our mothers.

What we love most about this artwork is how it is able to thrive beautifully on its own, but becomes an even greater, complex and beautiful artwork when combined.

Our Mumdala artwork is back by popular demand in all studios this Mothers Day, with sessions running across Mothers Day weekend. As with all our artworks, we allow for creativity and design to run free. Participants can paint their backgrounds any colour, and the Mandala design is able to be tailored in any way you wish.

Time to be super organised (just like mum!) and prepare a creative day out at Pinot & Picasso!

What to Wear to a Paint and Sip Class

What to wear to a paint and sip class

We get it. It can be a tough decision to decide how you want to dress for your paint and sip session or private function. There are many factors to consider – what occasion you’re celebrating, your location, how formal or casual it is, what other people are wearing – it can be all too much!

Here are some tips from our Pinot & Picasso hosts to help you dress to impress:

Comfort is key

Nothing worse than regretting wearing something that you just don’t feel comfy in. Don’t be afraid to keep it simple! Jeans and a nice top will always look on brand at the Pinot & Picasso studios.

White is for the daring!

While you might wear pink on Wednesdays, white is just not the colour when dealing with messy products like paint. We may dare you to wear white, but think carefully! If you’re planning to go out on the town after your paint and sip class, it might be best to choose a colour that could camouflage any paint spots!

Leave your designer clothes for the runway

No one wants to hear someone complaining about paint on their clothes, especially designer clothes. Those articles of clothing are not designed for art studios. Keep them paint-free by keeping them hung up in your wardrobe. You’ll thank us later!

This also goes for clothing of sentimental value. It’s easier to save it for another occasion!

Swap high heels for low riders

We recommend wearing enclosed shoes but it isn’t a necessity. You may come to a public session that is more of a casual vibe or P&P could be a stop for a Hens activity – whatever the occasion may be, think about which shoes you’d be happy to wear.

We welcome all footwear (please don’t come in bare feet!) to our sessions. The choice is really yours for your sip and paint class.

Be prepared for spillages!

As mentioned above, sometimes paint just somehow lands on your clothes, in your hair, or on your skin. You’ll question how it got there but nevertheless, it’s there. Being stylish can come at a cost but do be prepared for the worst case scenario – don’t worry, no Carrie moments have happened in our studios!

While you will be wearing a P&P apron, we can’t guarantee that you might get a splash of paint on yourself – it’s all part of the fun.

Do it for the ‘Gram

You can ignore all our suggestions – we may do that too! We always encourage posting to Instagram when you’re at our sessions. Stories or posts, we love to see you having the most fun at our studios!

If this plays a part in what you wear, c’est la vie. We just sounded like Emily in Paris!

All in all, just be you! You never go out of style, as good ol’ Taylor Swift once sang! Book your next Pinot & Picasso session today!

How to Prepare for Your First Paint and Sip Session

How to Prepare for Your First Paint and Sip Session

Here at Pinot & Picasso, we want to make sure you are 100% ready for your first paint and sip session. Whether you are already booked in or planning a girls’ night out, here’s what you can expect when you attend a session with us!

YOU DON’T NEED TO BE AN ARTIST

Haven’t painted since Year 7 Visual Arts? Neither! Whether you can only finger paint or draw stick figures, our artists will help you step-by-step through our artworks, and we guarantee you will surprise yourself!

Even if you are a bit of an artist, we have some detailed artworks that are perfect for challenging yourself and your gifted ability with a paintbrush.

CREATIVE FREEDOM IS WELCOME

While you will need to pick an artwork to attend our paint and sip classes, you don’t actually have to follow our artists. We welcome creative freedom in all of our sessions. The sole purpose of our experience is that YOU have an enjoyable experience with a paintbrush in hand and your favourite drink in the other!

GET READY FOR 3 HOURS OF CREATIVE FUN

At Pinot & Picasso, our 18+ sip and paint sessions run for 3 hours. While you may think that is a long time, trust us when we say it is almost not enough! Time always flies by in our sessions.

If you are planning to attend a Family-Friendly or Kids painting session, these art classes run for two hours!

BYO DRINKS

This really is one of the best parts of our experience. Our BYO option allows you to bring whatever drink you desire to our sip and paint sessions. Whether you love a crisp Savvy B, a bold Pinot, a classic lager, or a soft drink, the drinking options are all yours!

Our studios will always have water available. So, if you do start to feel a little dehydrated, be sure to pour yourself a glass.

*Canley Vale studio is not BYO

GRAZE FOR DAYS

Most of our Pinot & Picasso studios partner with local businesses to bring you the freshest ingredients for grazing boxes. If you feel like supporting local, grazing boxes can be added to your order at the checkout.

If you would rather bring your own snacks, that is also an option! Chips, dip, cheese & crackers, chocolate, doughnuts, sandwiches, lollies, fruit – whatever you feel like, you can bring it!

Want to know how to make the best homemade grazing platter? Check out our blog here: https://www.pinotandpicasso.com.au/how-to-make-the-ultimate-grazing-board/

THE PAINT IS ON US

No need to worry about bringing your own apron and wine glasses, we’ve got all you need in our studios. Our hosts set up each customers’ station with an easel, canvas, paintbrushes, wash jar and cloth – everything you need to release your inner Picasso!

When you arrive, you will be able to put on one of our classic aprons and get your paint palette ready.

ARRIVE EARLY

Speaking of arriving early, turning up fashionably late ain’t an option here. We recommend arriving at your session or function at least 10 to 15 minutes before we pick up the paintbrushes. This gives you plenty of time to set up, take some selfies and get the drinks flowing.
